Six brand new Tecnam P-Mentor aircraft are on their way to Aeros flight school, which has four bases in England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland.
A further eight aircraft, making 14 in total, are also on order in a massive agreement between Aeros and UK Tecnam agent, Oriens Aviation.
The new IFR-equipped aircraft will be used for ab-initio and modular training for both PPL (Private Pilot Licence) and CPL (Commercial Pilot Licence) courses.

Tecnam’s P-Mentor is a two-seat single engine piston aircraft certified to CS-23 standards and able to train students from their first flight up to CPL-IR. Features include a variable pitch propeller and simulated retractable landing gear.
Nick Dunn, CEO at Aeros, said, “We set up a steering group of five senior engineers, managers and instructors to evaluate the three leading two-seater trainers currently available in the market. Tecnam came out on top in terms of quality, cost and after sales service.”
