Ireland’s national airline Aer Lingus has opened the application window for its 2024 fully sponsored Future Pilot Programme.
The successful candidates will have all the training and accommodation costs paid for while training at FTEJerez, the Aer Lingus training partner.
There will be a bond to cover the cost of training and other associated costs and for a period after starting work as a First Officer. If you leave immediately following qualification, you will be liable to repay the entire cost of your training.
Applications must be made online (link below). Completed online application forms must be submitted by 17.00 GMT on Wednesday 10 April 2024.
“We are looking for candidates with diverse backgrounds to join our team,” said Captain Karl O’Neill, Chief Instructor.
“Whether you have just finished school/college or simply want to change career, this could be the right move for your future. Many of our pilots have joined us from other industries, and we urge to consider doing the same.”
Successful applicants will complete 14 months of basic training in Jerez, Spain. This is followed by a four-month transition course on the Airbus A320 Family of aircraft at the Aer Lingus Training Academy in Dublin.
Minimum educational requirements are specified on the website.
