Do you know a 14 to 18 year old who might be interested in a career in the aviation industry? Aviation charity fly2help is running two of its Aim High careers days in October and is looking for participants.
The Aim High days will be at London Biggin Hill Airport from 21-25 October, and at Gloucestershire Airport from 28 October to 1 November. The dates fit in with local school half-term dates.
Fly2helps’s Georgina Godfree said, “The scheme is aimed at showing 14-18 year olds the breadth of careers available within the aviation industry; taking them ‘behind the scenes’ at different companies so they can see what the job roles entail and meet people working in them.
“The course is also designed at boosting their soft-learning skills (such as interview technique and teambuilding) and educating them about aviation to assist the candidates with their future careers – we undertake flight planning and engineering activities on the weeks.
“Anyone aged 14-18 can apply for the programme, so we’re looking to reach as many young people as possible.”
Applications should be made on the fly2help website here.
