Biggin Hill based aviation training firm, Falcon Flying Group, has launched a scholarship to support underprivileged and under-represented individuals in aviation.
An initial investment of £50,000 will support the scholarship. Falcon Flying Group is working with London Biggin Hill Airport, the British School of Aviation (BSA), Talent Squared GmbH and Modul University Vienna.
Anoop Singh Bamrah FRAeS, executive director at Falcon Flying Group, said, “Providing opportunities for the next generation of aerospace and aviation personnel is more important now than ever before.
“Since 1977, Falcon has supported countless engineers and pilots and we now look to further our commitment. We believe that a lack of funding or opportunity should not hinder those with exceptional talent and ability from pursuing their desire to work in this incredible industry.
“The idea behind the Falcon Flying Fund is to help restore the balance.”

As the new initiative takes off, the Falcon Flying Fund will look to expand further. The full format of the scheme and the qualifying requirements for the scholarships will be confirmed in coming months.
“We’re excited about the future of this initiative, and through the support and belief of our partners we intend to provide as many students as possible with an opportunity to thrive in our industry, an opportunity that would ordinarily pass them by,” added Bamrah.
