Pilot training specialist Bristol Groundschool has started using artificial intelligence to help its students.
The new AI Tutor is included in BGS’s computer-based training application (ATPdigital). Students can ask questions related to their syllabus and the Tutor will provide a comprehensive answer, drawing from the archive of BGS study material.
The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) believes AI has the potential to transform the world of aviation. Last year EASA published the second version of its AI roadmap, outlining tentative policies.

The CAA said, “The aviation industry continues to embrace the transformative power of AI. It already enhances safety and efficiency through predictive maintenance, aiding air traffic management and refining pilot training. The future of AI will usher in a new era in aviation.”
The CAA will soon release the results of a survey into how they might regulate the use of AI.
