Would you like to be part of the electric aircraft movement? A chance has come up to invest in Aerovolt, the startup that’s installing charging points at airfields around the UK.

Aerovolt’s latest fundraising campaign includes the crowdfunding platform Crowdcube. It allows pilots and enthusiasts to support Aerovolt with continuing UK operations but also in expanding operations overseas, with opportunities to open the network in the USA and Australia.

Aerovolt already have a number of UK sites live – click here to see where – and charging is available on their own Squadron platform as well as the Octopus Electroverse EV roaming app.

Guy Haydon, Chief Commercial Officer for Aerovolt, said, “We have a pipeline of well over 100 UK airports now and will continue to roll out chargers to strategically expand on our existing network soon.

“There are about 20 UK airports that will see their chargers installed within the next 12 months, but international opportunities for Aerovolt have also come much sooner than expected, and we have already identified our first international sites in the USA and Australia.”

Aerovolt is also building relationships with leading eVTOL manufacturers and drone companies. A recent project is a charging system for drone delivery for NHS Wales working with Bristol-based technology company Slink-Tech at Snowdonia Aerospace Centre (Llanbedr).
