Like to own an airfield, or at least have a one-sixth share in one? The owners of Strubby Airfield (EGCG)in Lincolnshire – not far from Mablethorpe Beach – are offering the share.
This is no field in the middle of nowhere. RAF Strubby was an active station from WWII to the 1970s and is now used by gliders and light aircraft.
Strubby Airfield has an 11-acre site with a 750-metre tarmac runway including lighting. There is also a parallel 600-metre grass runway. Facilities include three 18m x 18m hangars, a 5,000-litre avgas fuel bowser, a clubhouse and car park.

Remember being at Manby and Strubby with Jet Provost flying. Great days hope it is kept open. Used to have a farm nearby, Loved it. We did have other aircraft thou, but I did not fly them. Also remember Lancaster bombers, did they fly from their in the 1950’s when they were filming the ‘Dam Busters’ over the Wainfleet flats? I remember them flying over. Spilsby to the South was open during the war as well.
Hi,do you have flying instructors there, and do you do revals,2 year test etc,and have you any shares in aircraft available, lastly how much is a sixth share, thanks.
Hello Tony. You’ll need to contact the airfield direct: http://www.strubbyairfield.co.uk/
Hello.
I know I’m two years too late but is there a chance to still purchase shares in the airfield at all?
Cheers!
