Cirrus Aircraft has launched a new Private Pilot Programme to help newcomers to learn to fly and gain their PPL, from scratch, on its SR Series aircraft.
The programme is an extension of its existing training arm, Cirrus Approach. The course comprises 40 lessons spread across 11 ground school training modules written by Cirrus Aircraft’s flight training experts.
These include pre-study material, ground instruction lessons, flight instruction videos, performance assessment and quizzes. Aerobatic ace Mike Goulian is also involved demonstrating some manouevres with in-cockpit video.
Ground school modules are designed to be taken alongside simulator and flight training delivered by a Cirrus Training Centre, of which there is currently a network of over 700 worldwide.
“Learning to fly and earning a pilot’s licence is what moves the personal aviation industry forward,” said Zean Nielsen, Chief Executive Officer of Cirrus Aircraft.
“From day one, our mission has been to grow engagement and participation in personal aviation, and our new Private Pilot Programme makes that experience easier and smoother along the way.”
