The latest version of Daher’s TBM is the TBM 910, an upgrade on the existing 900. The TBM 910 is equipped with the latest Garmin G1000 NXi flight deck with faster processors for quicker system boot-up and map rendering.
The TBM 910 sits alongside the top of the range TBM 930 which is equipped with Garmin’s G3000 touch screen controlled flight deck.
Daher is one of several companies making simultaneous launch announcements at AERO at Friedrichshafen, Germany and Sun ‘n Fun, Florida, USA this week.
The G1000Nxi’s more modern processors enable the system to manage more aviation data and maps (including visual approach plates), and offer additional capabilities such as enhanced situational awareness.
Another feature is the improved cockpit connectivity, allowing wireless transfer of aviation databases from the Garmin Pilot app on a mobile device to the G1000 NXi system. The flight deck’s new keyboard joystick gives more accurate panning and fluid navigation on the multi-function display pages.
In addition, the TBM 910’s cabin has new seat shapes and additional fittings that are identical to the TBM 930.
Deliveries of the TBM 910 will begin after the aircraft’s certification, expected this spring.
