Tecnam has announced that EASA has issued Major Change Approval 10041602 confirming the increase in the Tecnam P2006 Twin’s VLE and VLO increment of speed limitations from 92KCAS to 119KCAS.
VLE is the landing gear extended speed – the maximum speed at which an aeroplane can be safely flown with the landing gear extended – and VLO is landing gear operating speed, the maximum speed for extending or retracting the landing gear if using an aeroplane equipped with retractable landing gear.
This follows on from EASA validating an increase in the P2006T Twin’s MTOW to 1,230kg earlier this year.
“With the certification of the increase of the VLE and VLO speed limitations to 119KCAS and the major increase in the MTOW to 1230 Kg earlier this year, our Tecnam P2006T is an even more attractive option for customers purchasing twin aeroplanes,’’ said Paolo Pascale, Tecnam’s Managing Director.
