Eclipse divorces Williams

There’s been speculation recently that the performance of the Williams EJ22 turbofan, a pair of which were destined to power the Eclipse 500, has been – shall we say – not quite what was needed. Today Eclipse announced that it has ended its relationship with Williams International, and that it is in ‘late stage talks’ with two major engine manufacturers over replacement power units.
