It has been a worrying several weeks for owners and builders of Europa aircraft but at last there is good news.
The assets of Europa Management (International) Ltd. have been acquired by a new company, Europa Aircraft (2004) Ltd. that will continue to operate from Kirkbymoorside in North Yorkshire.
The new company is headed by Jim Tucker, former Chairman and Managing Director of Slingsby Aviation Ltd. He has a very wide experience of the light aircraft industry and was largely instrumental in the development of the Slingsby T67 Firefly range.
Five former employees of Europa Management (International) Ltd are involved in the new company.
They say their prime objective is to meet the needs of existing Europa builders for parts to complete their aircraft. Builders should let them know as soon as possible what their needs will be in the coming months.
Europa Aircraft (2004) Ltd. plan to continue to develop and sell the Europa range.
