We have a true aviation adventurer for you this week: Michael Smith, who will be telling us all about his epic, world-first flight around the world in a SeaRey flying boat!
This 210-day odyssey saw Michael become the first person in the world to circumnavigate the globe in a single-engine seaplane, an achievement for which he was awarded Adventurer of the Year by Australian Geographic.
The flight retraced the Qantas Empire Flying Boat service’s historic 1938 Sydney to London route.
This year, inspired by a feat that first took place 100 years ago, he completed a 44-day circumnavigation of Australia.
