We’re delighted to be joined this week by Kath Burnham, one of the world’s most experienced DC-3 pilots! Kath’s career has seen her flying all sorts of types in the air charter world, as well as her own beloved Piper Super Cub. But it’s her DC-3 flying she’s best known for, with highlights including training pilots in India to fly it and ferrying one from the UK to the US.
Oh, and she’s also one of the taxi pilots for the Lancaster bomber ‘Just Jane’!
We can’t wait to hear all about what it’s like flying and operating the last of the big pistons.
