The French version of the LAA Rally returns this coming weekend after a break through the pandemic years.

The 2024 Fly’in of the Federation RSA will take place from 5-6 July at Brienne le Château aerodrome (LFFN). That’s located in the south Champagne region, near Troyes.

‘Hundreds’ of amateur-built and vintage aircraft are expected to fly in from across Europe for the two days – a day shorter than usual because the Tour de France cycle race passes close by on Sunday, 7 July, and all the local accomodation has already been booked.

Features include:

  • Aeronautical exhibitors
  • RSA ‘Designers’ village’
  • Trophy ceremony from 16:30 on Saturday
  • Technical conferences
  • Aero flea market
  • Quality food
  • Musical evenings and ‘buvettes’ under the trees.

The organisers say, “If you fly in, the rules are simple: Any kind of aircraft is welcome, you just need a radio. No arrival slot to book. No landing fee. Free camping under the wing.”

Full briefing notes for arriving, landing, taxi, parking and departing are available on the RSA website (link below).

Final words from the organisers: “Come and find traditional, happy and unconstrained aviation, and meet friends!”
