What does this weekend’s Glastonbury Festival of Performing Arts look like from the air? Well here’s the answer.

Photos shared by pilot and FLYER reader John Leather, flying his Van’s RV12, capture the spectacular site coming together earlier this week.

Don’t be tempted to fly over the festival site now though, or over the weekend! There are airspace restrictions in place from 23 June to 2 July.

Mauve AIC M 076/2024 says no aircraft is to fly below 3100ft AMSL within the area of a circle having a radius of 2.5nm whose centre is 510921N 0023510W (see image below).

“The term ‘aircraft’ includes any small balloon, any kite, any unmanned aircraft, and any parachute including a parascending parachute or paramotor,” continues the AIC.
