Red-Air has announced CAA BCARS A8-1 approval to supply type-approved, factory-built, ready to fly C42 aircraft that can be used for flight training and hire. The C42 is now available again in the UK after a short break since the previous UK dealer finished in September last year.
The range will include the new slightly longer Bravo model with a number of enhancements including an all-aircraft parachute rescue system as standard equipment. The original A model is still available as the entry level variant. Also in the final stages of approval is a glider tug variant. There will be also be glass cockpit options and other accessories added to the approved factory fitted options list very soon. A flight test of the Ikarus C42B is featured in the Summer issue of FLYER, on sale now.
