BAe Systems announced at Flyer’s Professional Flight Training Show this weekend that JAR CPL, ATPL and I/R training will continue at Jerez in Spain following agreement on an internal management buyout for the flight college there.
The company had previously announced that the Jerez operations were up for sale, and training would end their by year-end if a buyer did not step forward.
The internal arm of BAe Systems, known as Flight Training (Europe), will continue as an independent
company at the campus in Jerez, and it will now offer modular training alongside the integrated (ab initio) 13 month residency route to the qualifications needed for JAA flight deck interviews.
