The Light Aircraft Association has launched its competition for young artists for winter 2020/21. The title of the competition is ‘A Friendlier World with Air Sports’.
Each of the winners in three age categories will be offered a flight in a light aircraft and the three best entries from each group will be sent to the Federation Aeronautique Internationale in Switzerland to be entered in the international competition. In recent years UK entries have made it through to the final judging.
The LAA said, “Under normal circumstances we would have enjoyed interacting with young artists at air shows, promoting the contest with easels, paper and paints as we have in previous years.
“This year we have been unable to engage with young people in this way but our summer ‘Kids at Home’ on-line art event was a huge success. We are pleased to give young people another opportunity to send us their artwork.”
Entries are in three age categories; 6-9, 10-13, 14-17. They can be drawn or painted on A3 paper, boards or canvases and posted to LAA HQ, Turweston Aerodrome, Nr Brackley, Northants NN13 5YD to arrive by 31 January 2021. Remember to include with contact details.
