The Lake Aircraft line of amphibious aircraft will go under the hammer at an auction at AirVenture, Oshkosh on July 27th.
The Lake Amphibian series is the only FAA certified single-engine amphibian in production in the world.
The assets of Revo, Inc – manufacturer of the Lake series of aircraft – will be sold as a whole, including the Type Certificate & STCs, engineering and marketing data, tooling, fixtures, and component inventory.
The current owners bought their first Lake Amphibian, an LA-4-200, in 1970. They became involved in the company in 1971, and over the next three decades bought the company and subsequently introduced and certified the six-place, 250hp Renegade, the 270hp SeaFury, and the Master of the Fleet, the 290hp special use SeaWolf.
Key personnel and production employees have expressed a desire to remain with the new owners.
