The American Legend Aircraft Company has test flown its new Legend Cub for the first time.
This is the first aircraft to be produced by Legend and is similar in appearance to the J-3 Cub. It is powered by a 100hp Teledyne-Continental engine and features electric starter and modern instrumentation. Options include a BRS parachute, Baumann floats, Garmin avionics and flat-panel display.
The Legend Cub is a two seat aircraft designed to meet Light-Sport Aircraft category certification requirements with a maximum gross weight below 1,320 lbs. Certification is expected in June this year and the aircraft will be sold ready-to-fly with first deliveries slated soon after.
