New campaign to reopen Plymouth Airport

A group called FlyPlymouth has been working to develop a plan for the future of Plymouth City Airport, following its closure in December 2011. According to the group, the plan will see a ‘sustainable airport which connects Plymouth to the UK Capital,’ reintroducing aviation services and air passenger services to the region
Over the next two years, FlyPlymouth needs to raise £150,000. Much of this will come from partners and local businesses, however the company needs some initial funds to get started. A statement on the Crowd Funding website explains, ‘We need to raise £10,000 to start to engage the experts and begin the first part of the work.’
