Metal Seagulls, ULPower dealer for UK and Ireland, has appointed Eccleston Aviation as an official Service Centre for ULPower Aero Engines in the UK.
Simon Worthington, managing director of the Lancashire-based maintenance company, undertook product specific training at the Metal Seagulls ULPower Training Facility at Sleap Airfield covering ULPower familiarisation, service and line maintenance.
Simon has equipped his mobile workshop with the special tools necessary to provide his clients with engine service in accordance with the ULPower manuals.
“Eccleston Aviation has 22 years of experience serving the UK microlight and light aircraft community, and we are excited at adding support for the growing number of ULPower users in the UK,” said Simon.
ULPower has been producing Aero Engines since 2006 and offer a range of 4- and 6-cylinder FADEC-controlled, direct drive, air/oil cooled engines for non-certified aircraft builders ranging from 97 to 200hp.
“We are thrilled to have trained Simon for working with ULPower engines and [to have] Eccleston Aviation as a Service Centre,” said Patricia Mawuli Porter of Metal Seagulls.
For those who prefer to maintain their engines themselves, there are also ULPower familiarisation, service and installation courses available for individuals at the Metal Seagulls ULPower Training Facility in Shropshire.
