FLYER’s Ian Seager will be leading a Q&A session with the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) in the first of three Autumn ‘Virtual Voyage’ General Aviation Summits in October.
The events take place on 6, 7 and 11 October 2021, hosted by the CAA, with 70 minutes of interactive discussion including a 20-minute live Q&A at each event. The times are 4.30pm to 6pm.
They will be hosted by Sophie O’Sullivan, Head of General Aviation (GA) & Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS).
The CAA said, “We hope to bring you updates on new initiatives as well as programmes of work we are proceeding with including:
“Our maiden Virtual Voyage event in the Spring reached an audience of over 3,500 members of the UK GA community and we hope to bring you a bigger and better series of events.
“Comments and suggestions as well as responses to our feedback survey have helped to create an agenda we hope will cover those topics we believe matter the most to you.”
If you have questions for Ian to ask, please send them to [email protected]

Hi Ian
I am now 63 days into waiting for an e-mail answer from the CAA on this one!
Can a FI(A) SEP Instructor with FCL945 signing rights on their license sign off a Three Axis Microlight Rating Revalidation?
Provided they are entitled to Instruct on Three Axis Microlights.
Have flown the Pilots Dual Flight with an Instructor.
The Pilot meets all requirements for Revalidation
