Fresh from looking after digital marketing of the Royal International Air Tattoo for the past five years, Jonny Salmon is joining FLYER early in 2021.
Jonny (@steerwithmyrear on Twitter) will be supporting the full range of activity on FLYER including the magazine, our series of Pilot Careers Live events, as well as championing The FLYER Club to build its member base and expand its content.
Jonny has been flying since 2008 and shares a Van’s RV-6 with his father. His private flying interests are tailwheel, aerobatics and exploring farm strips, all of which he feels challenge a pilot, help thwart complacency and, crucially, offer the most enjoyment.
If you’ve been following FLYER’s Thursday night Livestreams you’ll be aware of our Fantasy Hangar series… Jonny’s would consist of a single seat Mooney Mite and a turbine-powered SIAI-Marchetti SM.1019, (if money was no object then add a Pilatus PC-12 to that list!).
An instructor rating beckons once Jonny completes his the CPL syllabus study.
Editor Ed Hicks welcomed Jonny with, “As well as being an uber enthusiastic GA pilot, Jonny also adds an awesome beard to the FLYER line-up.”
