The Robinson Helicopter Company have reached another major milestone in their remarkable story by delivering their 5000th helicopter at the end of September.
Robinson delivered their first helicopter, an R22, to Mr Tim Tucker in October 1979. Since then they’ve delivered 3,489 R22s and 1,511 R44s, including 171 R44 Raven IIs. The 5000th helicopter is an R44 Raven II and has been delivered to the National Airways Corporation in Lanseria, South Africa. Helicopters are being built at a rate of 10 a week at Robinson’s Californian factory.
