UPDATE Slot bookings for this year’s LAA Rally have opened. The 2024 LAA Rally is being held at Leicester Airport from Friday 30 August to Sunday 1 September.
The Rally Team said, “If you intend to fly into the LAA Rally at Leicester, you will need to book an arrival slot. This year LAA will be administering the booking system via the Eventbrite booking site. Should you wish to fly-in on more than one day a separate slot will be required for each landing. There will be no requirement for departure slot bookings.”
Landing Slot Hours:
Thursday 29 August 1200-1800 hrs
Friday 30 August 0800-1400 hrs
Saturday 31 August 0800-1400 hrs
Sunday 1 September 0800 -1400 hrs
The Rally team continued, “As in previous years there will be restrictions on arrival movements between the hours of 1400-1800 on Friday, Saturday and Sunday to facilitate departing traffic.
“Full details of the procedures will be published at the beginning of August. Pilots should ensure that they familiarise themselves with the procedures before departing for Leicester and be aware of the airspace restrictions that will be in place to the West of Leicester during the weekend.
“Pilots should note that fuel will be dispensed from a mobile bowser and only 100LL will be available. Details will also be made available for Out of Hours evening arrivals and local area flights after 1800 Hrs on Thursday/Friday/Saturday.
“Members and Non-Members by air: One landing fee of £10.00 covers a single landing and stay of up to three days and camping by your aircraft. Pilots and accompanying passengers will also need to purchase individual entry tickets to the Rally either in advance through the LAA website or upon arrival at Leicester when booking in.”
The LAA said, “Leicester provides a central location to host the return of our full LAA Rally, welcoming members, enthusiasts and those keen to find out more about sport and recreational aviation in the UK. Across the weekend we anticipate welcoming over 600 visiting aircraft.”

Pre-event ticket sales and camp site passes are now available via the LAA shop.
Members’ entry tickets valid for three days including access to the aircraft park cost £20.
Non-members’ entry tickets cost £25 per day with an additional charge of £10 to enter the aircraft park.

Camping
Camping facilities providing basic amenities including hot showers will be available on site. There is ample ground for caravans and motorhomes. The site will be up and running from Thursday afternoon and will close early on Monday morning. Camping passes can be bought in advance.
Car Parking
Follow signs to the free Rally Car parks. Dedicated parking will be signed for Disabled and Exhibitor users.
Dogs
Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead. Dogs not allowed into the aircraft parking area.
