A fly-in for electric and hybrid powered aircraft will take place for the seventh year running in September, at the Swiss Air Force base on Bern Airport.
Electrifly-In Switzerland is staged over the weekend of 9 and 10 September 2023. It’s an annual get-together for hybrid and electric aircraft as well as self-launching gliders.
While the fly-in is at the centre of the event, there’s also a symposium with speakers including the German Aerospace Centre, electric aircraft manufacturer Pie Aeronefs and the winners of the Sustainable Aviation Award 2023, Kasaero HYFLY.
An exhibition in the Swiss Air Force hangar will showcase the projects of various international development teams, and Swiss International Air Lines will present various sustainability projects.
There will also be a discussion (eTalk) headlined, “How long will it take and what will it take until the training for the Private Pilot Licence can be carried out purely electrically?”
‘Taster’ flights in a Pipistrel Velis Electro are available for CHF100.
