Lasham Gliding Society has a series of winter talks held every Saturday until Easter. Members and non-members are both welcome. The talks are free but a silver collection will be made at the end. They start at 6pm and take place in the Brown Elephant briefing room at Lasham Airfield, Hants, GU34 5SS. Telephone 01256 384900.

British glider aerobatic team principal and four times national aerobatic champion, Paul Conran, on getting young people into glider aerobatics.

Flying and air power by retired Air Commodore Andrew Lambert, who used to run the weapons instructor school and then commanded operations in northern Iraq in the 1990s when the RAF was enforcing a no-fly zone.

Nick Smith on fixed-wing aircraft carrier operations and operating the F18 from aircraft carrier decks. Nick has been a member at Lasham and was staff tuggie a few years back. Since then, he has had a fascinating career in the Fleet Air Arm and then the US Navy.
March 5
Improving your personal performance by Dr Al Nunn. Al is a prominent member at Lasham and has done a lot of research on slowing the ageing process.

Colin Hales will tell us about his homebuilt KR2 aircraft and how he he is flying it around the world together with his adventures so far encountered.

To finish off the winter talks season, a classical guitar recital by Jane Nash, a member and glider pilot, and Steve Grant. Both are highly accomplished guitarists.
