The XA42, a two-seat aerobatic aircraft manufactured by German company XtremeAir has received American FAA certification. The aircraft and the single-seat model XA41 both have EASA certification.
The aircraft gained its final approval on 5 November, with the FAA certification manager saying, ‘This will be the first Extreme XA42 to be certified in the U.S. I must say this has to be one of the best designed aircraft, well thought out in all details.’
The company said in a statement, ‘We are now going to step into the American airplane market reassured and confidently.
With the FAA and EASA certifications, we have reached a strong position in the worldwide market.’
