Aero-Club Air France purchases Tecnam P2008s

Aero-Club Air France has placed an order for 12 Tecnam P2008JC CS/VLA single engine aeroplanes, a deal which Tecnam calls ‘a significant milestone’ for the P2008 programme.
The order book currently stands at 25 aircraft.
Aero-Club Air France will receive the first three VFR night equipped aircraft in the first quarter of 2013. Final type certicification from EASA is expected in May 2013.
The 12 aircraft which mate metal wings with a carbon-fibre fuselage will be distributed amongst 5 Aero-Club Air France’s affiliated groups: Aeroclub Air France Lognes; Aéroclub Aéroport de Paris; Aéroclub Marne la Vallée; Aéroclub Air France Toulouse; and Aéroclub Toulouse Midi Pyrénées.
Pascal Collès, Fleet Manager, Air France, said, “The P2008JC CS/VLA will replace the famous C152 for initial training purposes. Our choice has been driven by certain factors including fuel saving, reduction of noise impact, and improvements in take-off, climb and cruise performance.”
