Aero Expo 'a success'

This year’s Aero Expo, which took place over the past weekend at High Wycombe, was generally reckoned to be a success with up to 12,000 people passing through the gates or flying in to the airfield.

In all, the organisers today reckoned that 650 aircraft had flown in to the event (that’s on top of the 70 or so which formed part of the static display).

The 130 exhibitors reported brisk business, right up to the close of the show on Sunday evening. The improved seminar format also did well, with many of the sessions being full.

New aircraft making a debut ranged from the Pilatus PC-12 NG to the Corvus Crusader homebuilt. Some of the main talking points, though, were the various types of avionics now coming in the GA market, with many of the new aircraft offering test examples of offerings by Garmin, Honeywell and others.
