Aspiring professional pilots head to Heathrow

Pilot Careers Live returns to Heathrow for the first UK event of the year on Saturday 20 April 2024. Visitors will be able to speak to over 25 exhibitors from around Europe and watch presentations from airlines and training providers, including British Airways, easyJet, Loganair and Ryanair. 

Airlines are going through a hiring spree at the moment, with British Airways opening up the second year of its Speedbird Academy on 16 April, just a few days before the show. Over 20,000 applicants were whittled down to 100 determined individuals last year.

Elsewhere, easyJet are looking toward the next generation with a national advertising campaign based around pilot aptitude testing, showing people if they could have what it takes to become an airline pilot as they set to recruit hundreds over the next few years.
