Beechcraft confirms Hawker 4000/jet negotiations

It has been confirmed that Beechcraft Corp. is negotiations with a potential buyer for its Hawker 4000 and Premier business jet assets, which includes the company’s Plant 3 composite manufacturing facility.
Beechcraft CEO Bill Boisture confirmed during an interview at the National Business Aviation Association’s annual convention in Las Vegas that the potential buyer has plans for the Plant 3 facility, suggesting that the buyer is intending to go into the composite component manufacturing business.
Boisture said the deal is, “well along with a buyer with whom we have a great deal of confidence,” although he wouldn’t identify the party.
It has been reported by other sources that possible buyers include Embraer, Mahindra & Mahindra and Cessna’s parent company, Textron.
Beechcraft recently reported a ‘solid increase’ in aircraft deliveries for the third quarter of 2013, comprised of 38 commercial aircraft and 10 military trainer aeroplanes.
