Alice Chant, winner of the Easy PPL scholarship, said, “I am so pleased and excited to have won this scholarship. I am very grateful to everyone at the BWPA and Easy PPL.”

“This year’s scholarship candidates have once again been impressive,” said BWPA Chairwoman Sharon Nicholson.

“The winners are all extremely outstanding individuals, many whom have already given a great deal to aviation, including inspiring other women to consider flying as a hobby or career. We hope these scholarships will support them in achieving their ambitions whilst continuing to inspire others and I look forward to seeing their journeys progress.”

Nearly 200 women from across the UK applied for the scholarships by submitting information on their current aviation experience, what they enjoy most about flying, why they believe they deserve the award and how they would use the award if successful. They were shortlisted by a panel of judges who determined which of the candidates showed the most promise for their future flying.

More information on the individual winners and how they plan to use their scholarships are available from the scholarship winners page on the BWPA website.
