Cessna suspends European orders for Skycatcher

Cessna has announced that it is to stop taking any new orders from European customers for the its Skycatcher LSA, and will be returning the deposits to customers with existing orders. The move is said to be a temporary one ‘until European Aviation Safety Administration (EASA) certification has been granted.
Andy Woodward, Cessna’s Manager, External Communications, added, “This is just a step we are taking to make sure we maintain a positive relationship with the Skycatcher customer. It’s impossible to gauge how long certification will take, and we don’t want a procedure that is beyond our control to affect our relationship with our customers.
“Cessna is working with the EASA to certify the Cessna 162 Skycatcher, and we are striving to find an economical solution that both benefits our customers in the long run and meets EASA standards.” Click here for more
