CI once again open to (S)VFR traffic

A Notam has been issued taking effect from 15:15Z that Special VFR clearances will be issued in and out of the Channel Island Control Zone which retains its Class A status. No IFR clearances will be issued. Effectively this means that VFR flights will operate as they have always done. This is not limited to any direction and therefore ends the ban on VFR flying due to the volcanic ash situation.

We understand that this solution was suggested by Charles Strasser, Chairman of AOPA’s CI region.
