Cirrus Aircraft today announced a new addition to the SR22 range. The SR22T will be powered by a twin-turbocharged factory Continental engine, the TIO-550-K, developing 315hp at 2,500rpm. The engine has a lower compression ratio in order to be able to run on lower octane fuel. That, combined with the lower max rpm (other IO-550s in the SR22 run to 2,700) means that the engine is boosted to a maximum of 36.5inches in order to make the rated 315hp.
The price of the SR22T will be the same as the SR22TN. Performance will be slightly better in the climb and the same during cruise. <a href=”http://cirrusaircraft.com/”>Click here for more</a>
