Eaglescott Airfield is to close from 1 November until 4 March 2011 due to what the owners describe as a lack of volunteers to help run the airfield, a lack of visiting pilots and for them to have some time away from aviation. From 4 March next year, the airfield will then reopen on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays only, although pilots are welcome to phone on other days between 0800 and 0900 to see to request a landing. However, if no reply is received and PPR given, then the airfield must be assumed closed.
