With Eclipse, or what’s left of it, due to be auctioned off shortly, EASA has suspended the aeroplane’s Type Certificate, grounding any European registered Eclipses. The vast majority of EU based Eclipses operate on the N- register, so can continue flying. There have been no rumours of the FAA following suit, but the move will do nothing to enhance the value of either individual aeroplanes or the remaining company assets.
