Eclipse Aerospace has launched a new factory refurbishment programme called Total Eclipse for new customers to purchase an EA500, the world’s only certified twin-engine Very Light Jet (VLJ). This programme marks the completion of the final design of the original EA500.
In September 2009, Eclipse Aerospace agreed to finish the design of the aircraft. Since acquiring the company, it has invested in and completed the design and certification of the original EA500, which now includes FIKI (Flight Into Known Icing) and GPS coupled autopilot.
The outcome is that customers can buy a full configured EA500, including flight to 41,000ft, 20,000 cycle airframe life and onboard colour radar, electronic moving maps and eCharts (Jeppesen) all presented on a the EA500 mutlifunction display. Every Total Eclipse, priced at $2.15 million, includes a factory warrantee.
For a limited number of early buyers, each Total Eclipse purchase comes with a guaranteed buy-back provision, whereby Eclipse Aerospace will repurchase the aircraft for a guaranteed amount which can be applied towards a first year production slot when EA500 manufacturing resumes. <a href=”http://www.eclipseaeropsace.net”>Click here for more</a>
