Elstree's runway closed - UPDATE

Last week we reported on the temporary closure of Elstree’s runway. Although Elstree management hoped to have the runway open by last weekend, it seems the temporary repairs have taken longer than originally anticipated. An Elstree spokesman told FLYER that repairs continued and should be complete by the coming weekend, but that the NOTAM closing the runway would be extended if necessary. A NOTAM issued on July 16 temporarily suspended Elstree’s aerodrome licence.
