Let’s look back at Europe’s major show for General Aviation, AERO Friedrichshafen

AERO 2022, held last April at Messe Friedrichshafen in southern Germany, was an outstanding event with the General Aviation industry showing it’s alive, well and as innovative as ever. Lots of new ideas, some new aircraft, new powerplants, and a big emphasis on sustainability.

Among the powerplants on show was a small turbine for light aircraft, from French company TurboTech. The turbine can be used as a turboprop – ie, driving a propeller – or as a turbogenerator to produce electricity for an electric aircraft.
