Airbox Aerospace, the company behind the award-winning AWARE unit is to launch a 5 inch version that will retail for £229 (including VAT). The Aware 5 GPS is a moving map system that gives pilots vital visual and audible warnings if they are heading towards controlled airspace. A new featire will display the relevant frequency when an airspace alert is sounded. Each unit comes with the very latest airspace definitions and CAA 1:500,000 VFR chart displayed on a crystal clear five inch screen. Users can download free airspace updates (available every 28 days on the AIRAC cycle) for the life of the product.
