The four airfields taking part this month are:

Leicester Airport

Run by the members of Leicestershire Aero Club, the airport on the outskirts of the city welcomes visiting pilots all year round, with three hard and two grass runways, and lighting on our main runway 10/28 and taxiways.

The Club offers flying lessons, training for a PPL, a range of flying experiences and has a welcoming cafe. It’s historic airport too, having been established back in 1909.

Audley End Airfield

Audley End is a little airfield close to Saffron Walden, on the Essex/Cambridgeshire border run by Vintage Fabrics, an aircraft restoration and engineering business specialising in classic aircraft.

Any pilot planning on flying into the airfield must contact Vintage Fabrics for PPR and a full brief.

Goodwood Aerodrome

Goodwood Aerodrome needs little introduction being one of the best known and much loved airfields on the south coast.

Formerly known as RAF Westhampnett, the airfield has been operating since WWII, serving as a satellite to nearby RAF Tangmere. Its location in West Sussex makes it a focal point for flying excellence. Pilots and passengers enjoy bird’s-eye views over the Solent and Isle of Wight.

Of course, it’s an all-grass operating environment, with limited parking on apron areas. There’s an excellent café and plenty of interesting aircraft and businesses based there.

Perth Airport is the busiest general aviation airport in Scotland, located three miles north-east of Perth. The airport is operated by ACS Aviation  and is used for private aircraft, business aircraft and for commercial pilot training.

The airport is home to the Scottish Aero Club, Alba Airsports, Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance and many more companies and close to several prestigious hotels and excellent golf courses.

Whether you are looking for a base for your aircraft or its maintenance, flying training, or simply a place to visit – it is a gateway to the Highlands after all – then Perth is calling.
