Gloucestershire awarded Best GA Airport 2013

The Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) has voted Gloucestershire Staverton Airport as the ‘Best General Aviation Airport 2013’ at the Airport Operators Association annual conference and award ceremony held at London’s Hilton Metropole Hotel.
Airport Director, Mark Ryan accepted the award from Chief Executive, Martin Robinson on behalf of the Airport team in front of more than 1,000 guests at the gala event.
He said, “We’re absolutely delighted to receive this award from our industry peers. It validates the hard work and effort that all our staff have put in to make us the busiest – and now – officially – the best General Aviation Airport in the UK.
“We’re very proud to be providing first class facilities for the UK’s aviation industry and helping to grow the Gloucestershire economy.
“The completion of our Runway Safety Project earlier this year has raised our profile and has clearly been noticed by the industry.”
