Remember Norman Surplus, who set off recently in his attempt to fly his MT-03 gyrocopter around the world? Well, you’ll be pleased to hear that the adventure is going strong, with Norman’s blog (http://gyroxgoesglobal.blogspot.com) providing a daily update. Following his departure from Larne, Northern Ireland on March 22, Norman has visited France, Corsica, Italy (including a hour-hour flight over the Appennine Mountains) and onto Egypt (following a 4 1/2 hour flight across the Eastern Mediterranean). The 27,000 mile flight is due to take 115 days, raising awareness of, and funding for, bowel cancer along the way. Click here for more
