Helitech exhibition targets international appeal

Helitech 2013, the largest dedicated helicopter exhibition in Europe, will be staged at ExCeL London between 24-26 September.
The show, previously held at Duxford Airfield, Cambs until now, will be called Helitech International from 2013, and will also be hosted at locations outside the UK in coming years to ensure that all major markets are engaged. The 2014 show is currently scheduled to be held in Berlin, Germany. According to organisers Reed Exhibitions, this is being done to ‘raise Helitech to a new level of influence and attract a wider international audience.’
The event programme will look to cover industry trends and will look to address current and future challenges for the rotorcraft industry.
Event Director, John Hyde, said “Helitech has been staged successfully in the UK for 25 years, but the message from industry is that we must recognise the ever increasing internationality of this sector whilst retaining our core base of companies and service providers.”
Patrick Moulay, Managing Director of Bell Helicopter Europe, explained, “The most appealing factor of the Helitech re-positioning is the international dimension as this show becomes an all-inclusive European event. As Bell expands its international footprint, the Helitech International venue allows us to reach more European customers than other events combined.”
