Jetman Rossy confirms wingsuit flight school

Following plans to market his wingsuit to pilots, Jetman Yves Rossy has revealed his intent to create a school for pilots to learn how to fly with the suit.
In an interview with epictv.com, Rossy confirmed the school will begin in the second part of 2013 if all the constructions and clearances run as planned.
He explained, pilots must be ‘an experienced skydiver with aircraft pilot experience, or good wingsuit experience.’ The courses will be between one and four weeks long, depending on the abilities of the students, the weather and the level of proficiency targeted.
Flying the engined fixed wing won’t be within everyone’s budget, with the equipment priced at €1m, but Rossy explained that he was trying to keep the glider development ‘as cheap as possible’, so that it is affordable to anybody who is motivated and wants to try it. He added that there’s no confirmed price at the moment.
