Kemble flying schools merge

The merger of two flying clubs at Kemble has created the largest flight training and flying club ever seen at the Gloucestershire airfield. The Flying Club Kemble and TIA Aviation Flight Training have combined, to create a new operation which employs nine pilots and operates six aircraft.

The merger also brings together PropStar Aviation, which offers light aircraft fractional ownership, and Trans-International Airways’ personal air charter and air taxi services.

“I believe the uniting of these two businesses will make light aircraft more accessible to even more people,” says Ed Hewertson, managing director of PropStar Aviation.

Pawl Shanley, managing director of TIA Aviation Flight Training, added “This move gives us real strength, enabling us to offer even better services to our members along with improved aircraft and instructor availability.

“I look forward to expanding these already successful businesses with Ed and the team and making 2008 a great year for flying at Kemble.”
